Oral presentation

32 sessions are held on conference day 1 – 4. The best participants of each session will be given the opportunity to hold their presentation in the winner sessions on day 4. The participant may choose whether he wants to compete for the Research Award or the Zondek Award. The best 3 of each winner session move on to the finale grande session. 

Poster presentation

20 sessions are held on conference day 1 -4. The best poster presentation will be awarded.  

Research Award (only non-German students)

The Research Award is bestowed upon the best presentation in the Research Award Session. This award financially supports a 12 months research fellowship at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin with 500€/ month. 

Zondek Award

Donated by the Association of friends and sponsors of the Charité (Verein der Freunde und Förderer der Charité e.V.) consisting of a prize money of 1500 € for the most outstanding presentation.  

Lindau Noble Laureate Meetings

The ESC is very proud to be cooperating with the annual Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. As an academic ambassador, the ESC may nominate 3 young researchers to attend the prestigious Nobel Laureate Meeting at Lindau, Germany.  

Global Health Award 

The best abstract concerning global health issues will be awarded a ticket for the World Health Summit 2011. The winner will be offered the chance to take part in panel discussions and working sessions with well-known representatives from the field of public health, politics, economy, science and medicine.
