The World Health Summit will be the main event hosted by the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, this year. The 21st ESC-organising team continues to deepen the cooperation with this particularly interesting summit of world experts. We were given the unique opportunity to recruit 5 international & 5 local students who will be invited to attend the WHS from October 10 through 13, 2010. 

Focusing on emerging challenges and demands in health care, the World Health Summit’s title is “Translation, Transition, Transformation” This conference will probably set a turning point for medicine as you know it today! You, as a student, will be offered the chance to take part in a panel discussion and working session with well-known representatives from the field of public health, politics, economy, science and medicine.

If you work on a project concerning public health issues, want to promote your world-changing ideas or you want to convey medical and social problems of your local fellows to an audience who will listen to you and who has the resources to help, then you should consider applying for a WHS 2010 ticket (approx. worth 1000€). Furthermore the organizers of the WHS told us that they will cover additional costs concerning accommodation and travel expenses.
